Fixed the ShowVizz download on a Mac, and a crash when opening a project from a folder macOS protects.

Fixed

• TraxxTool gets ShowVizz for your Mac. It had been offering the stage player to Windows machines only. Lighting Studio fetches the right one now, Apple Silicon or Intel.
• Opening a project from a protected folder closed the app. On macOS, Documents, Desktop and iCloud Drive folders need your permission before TraxxTool can read them. It says which folder it could not read, and where to grant access.

Added Logic Pro as an export option, and a say in which track each stem plays on.

Export

• Logic Pro. Export your songs as a Logic project. Double-click it and they are laid out one after another, each at its own tempo, with a marker at every song and every section. The audio is inside the project file, so there is nothing to relink.
• Your MIDI cues come with them. Rig changes, block switches and notes land on their own track, on the right bars.
• So do levels and mutes. A stem you turned down is down in Logic, a stem you muted is muted, and both are still yours to change.
• Exporting several songs asks how you want them. All of them on one timeline, or a project per song in a folder. Reaper and Ableton too.
• You choose which track each stem plays on. Songs across, tracks down: drag a stem where you want it, or leave it out. One button works out the fewest tracks that still play everything, keeping the guitars together and the vocals together.
• A hard-panned stem stays panned in Ableton when two songs share a track and are panned differently.
• Stems as M4A. Settings, Export, Stem format. M4A is AAC, better sound than MP3 at the same size. A Reaper project gets those stems as WAV.

Lyrics

• Genius can supply the words. With the plugin set up, Auto-Sync asks whether to look them up on LRCLIB or Genius, and Genius covers songs LRCLIB has not got.
• A song with almost no singing still syncs. The words are timed from the database instead, and the studio says the timing is estimated.
• Tap Sync. Press it once, then Tap, Space or Enter stamps each line as you hear it.
• Syncing again leaves your own cues alone. It removes only the section markers it placed last time.
• The lyrics show as soon as a sync finishes, without switching tabs.
• Tidy with AI waits out a busy AI service instead of giving up on the first try.

Timeline

• Cues copy and paste in beats. Copy Verse, 2, 3, 4 once and paste it at every verse. In a song at another tempo they still land on the beats.
• Cue groups. Right-click selected cues, Save as Cue Group, and place the lot in any song from the Add Marker menu.
• Shift+drag a shared region edge to open a gap between two regions.
• Click a marker's flag to select it, not only the stem.

Fixed

• A cut-out section came back during playback. Editing an area, changing the click or adding a stem after a cut put the uncut audio back until you reopened the song.
• A song whose stems have moved now asks where they went. Point it at the folder and every stem is found by name, or open the song anyway with those tracks silent.
• The last region stopped short of the end of the song by the length of the count-in.
• Adding a bar at the start ran the click over the title cue. The cue moves with the click and keeps its gap.
• Regions from cues includes a cue you placed yourself, like Solo.
• Pause and Skip regions play as they do on the device. A Pause region stops at its end, a Skip region is jumped.

Pro and Cloud unlock on Intel Macs.

Fixed

• Signed in on an Intel Mac, still treated as Community. The Intel build could not read a licence, so Pro and Cloud stayed locked after signing in. They unlock once this update is installed.

A marker that fires several MIDI commands sends them in your order, and the MaestroDMX joins the device list.

Fixed

• A marker's MIDI commands go out in the order you wrote them. A Generic MIDI message in the list, or a device whose plugin is switched off, could jump to the front, so a bank select or a preset change arrived out of order and the gear landed on the wrong sound.

Add-ons

• MaestroDMX. Pick a cue for the chorus, hold a blackout on the last hit, ride the global brightness, swap a fixture group's palette. The box takes MIDI on DIN only, so you need a USB to DIN dongle.

Names fixed in the Library now reach Stage Traxx, a song share carries one playlist, and the AI can sort a library into playlists.

Fixed

• A title, artist or year fixed in the Library did not export. The export read the copy saved when the song was last prepared. It reads the current one now, so Tidy Details and Rename reach the device without opening every song again.
• A song share with several playlists arrived as one. Stage Traxx treats a share as a single playlist. When the songs you export sit in more than one, you are asked which playlist the share is, or none. A Full Backup still carries them all.

Library

• Suggest Playlists. Tell your AI what kind of nights you play and it sorts the library into named playlists, a song in as many as fit. Tick, rename, Create.
• Remove chord lines already inline. Moises and some other lyric exports write a line of nothing but chords above a lyric line that already carries the same chords. Right-click songs to drop the duplicates. Also in the Lyrics Studio menu and the Batch Editor.
• Exporting from the Library ends with a count: songs, how many lack an artist or a year, playlists and their entries.
• Tidying up to 6 songs at a time is free. A whole library in one go is Pro.

Library

• Tidy Details checks every song's title, artist and year, and shows what it would change before changing anything. Tick the rows you want, fix anything it got wrong, Apply.
• It reads each song's own file tags, strips what a filename leaves behind (track numbers, underscores, "(Official Video)", the artist stuck in the title), then confirms the spelling and release year against MusicBrainz. Anything still in doubt goes to your AI, if you have one set up.
• Songs with a proper title and artist are the ones Ultimate Guitar and Genius can find.
• Tidying a few songs at a time is free. A whole library in one go is Pro.
• Paste a Set List. Paste the list your band already has, or open a .txt, .m3u or .csv. Every line is matched to a song in your library, and you can pick a different one where it guessed wrong.
• "Set 2" or a blank line splits the list into separate playlists, or into the sets of one playlist.

Getting songs in

• A file's tags name the song. A backing track that says who it is by arrives with its title, artist and year already filled in.

Fixed

• Every song exported to Stage Traxx said 2026. A song with no year now exports without one. Set it in Song Details, or let Tidy Details find it.

Stereo backing tracks, click-left/band-right files and an existing Stage Traxx library all get a proper front door.

Getting songs in

• A stereo backing track is a Mix. One track type for the whole band in one file, with its own colour and bus row. A song called "Piano Man" no longer lands on the keys bus because of its title.
• Split into stems is the recommended path. The import dialog says so, and when a click is found on one side, "then split the music into stems too" is on by default.
• Import a folder of finished tracks in one go. A watched folder of titled files lists one song per file, and Add to Library asks once for the whole batch: split into stems (with a time estimate), separate the click side only, or open as one track now and split later.
• Files it cannot place are listed, never decided for you. Desk recordings with more than two channels still go through the Channel Mapper.
• A click-left/band-right song gets its tempo from its click on import.

Click and tempo

• Add Click follows the song. With no click in the song it reads the beat from the mix and places a click that follows it, count-in included, already in time. Steady tempo is still there for songs with no clear beat.
• Detect Tempo reads a real click when the song has one.

Lyrics

• Auto-Sync works without a vocal stem. It offers to split into stems and sync, sync against the full mix as a quick first pass, or pick a track.
• A song synced against the mix says so, with "Split and sync again" beside it.

Export

• Stereo backing track. One full-stereo file per song, with .lrc and .txt lyric sidecars.
• Left/right backing track. Click and cues on one side, the band on the other, and you choose which side the click takes.
• A "Left/right rig" bus preset, and an option to write mono left/right bus outputs into a full backup, off by default.
• Export the original mix instead of the stems, per song, in Stage Traxx details.
• Output buses is a page now. Open it from "Output buses…" on the Library's export row or from the Rig tab: every track type in one list, drag it into the order you want, pick the bus beside each name. The spoken cues are a row in it, so you choose where the cue track lands in the song.
• Import from Backup carries the attached MIDI file, brings a one-track song in as a Mix, spots click-on-one-side songs and offers to separate them, then offers the stem split for the batch.
• Bandroom says when a song is one stereo mix, so members know they will get the full mix only.

Workbench

• End goes to the end, F zooms to fit. Both are in Settings, Shortcuts, like every other key.
• Shorter labels, tooltips that wrap. The explainer text under controls has moved into tooltips, and no tooltip runs off the screen any more.

Add-ons

• Ultimate Guitar Chords 1.3.2 searches again by artist when the title page is all someone else's versions.

Fixed

• A re-exported song keeps the keywords set on the device.
• The Custom MIDI Commands dialog shows the times the export writes.
• A stereo stem panned to one side comes out right in the Stage Traxx 3 single-mix export.
• The Band Mix of a song with no click plays in both ears. It was right-ear only.
• Dropping an .m4a onto the Workbench works. It was refused.

Chords that land in the right key, bars and beats on the ruler, and a round of fixes.

Fixed

• The Downloader could delete a folder of your own. A song from a watched folder offered "Delete Downloaded Files" and took your original folder with it. Downloads go to the Recycle Bin now.
• A capo did nothing on a fresh iPad. Stage Traxx ships with Transpose Chords switched off. A new backup turns it on when a song needs it.
• Cifra Club chords reach the stage as chords. A7(4), C7M and Gdim arrived as plain text.
• The library's export tick boxes could disappear with no way to get them back.
• A pasted Google model name works. "models/gemini-2.5-flash" is trimmed for you.

Chords

• Import Chords puts the sheet in your song's key. Ultimate Guitar and Cifra Club send their key, capo and tuning along with it, so a tab written in Em shapes with a capo on 2 is stored as the F#m you actually hear.
• The song's capo is set from the sheet, so Stage Traxx still shows you the Em shapes you play.
• TraxxTool works out the key from your stems when nothing has recorded one. Type over it if you know better.
• Capo sits next to Pitch in the Inspector, with a line under it saying what the chords read as on stage.
• The chord strip and the sync map show what the stage shows. Change the pitch or the capo and every chord on screen follows.
• A warning when the chords are in the wrong key, with the fix beside it.
• Nashville numbers, in Song Details. In G, "G C D Em" becomes "1 4 5 6m".

Bars and beats

• The ruler counts bars. Switch it on the ruler or the transport readout. The grid comes off your click track and moves with a Time Shift.
• Fix the bars when the click is wrong. Drag a bar line for a 2/4 before the chorus or a bridge in three, and the click is rebuilt to match.
• Toolbars fit the window instead of wrapping onto a second row.

Lyrics and Stage Traxx 4.1

• Lyrics Studio shows the words the way the stage will. Bold is bold, red is red, and a formatting bar writes the markup for you. The Markup tab beside it still shows the tags.
• Sets in playlists, kept the way the device keeps them.
• Song folders reach Stage Traxx, and come back when you import a backup.
• A PDF chart per song, travelling in the song's folder.

Getting songs in

• Split a track into stems from its header. It keeps playing until the stems are ready.
• Dropping a folder of songs asks what you meant instead of loading every file as a lane.
• Sort tracks by type from any track header.

Changed

• The Inspector has a close button.
• Song Details has "Trim & fades on the timeline".
• The track header's Areas menu starts with "Mark an area to silence".

Add-ons: Ultimate Guitar Chords 1.3.1 and Cifra Club Chords 1.1.1.

Fixed

• A launch that keeps dying before the window appears now gets through. After three of those in a row, TraxxTool opens at its default size with the standard title bar and tells you why. Move or resize the window and it remembers your layout again.
• A crash report now says what you were doing. When the app goes down hard, the report you send carries the trail from the run that died, plus the system's own crash log on macOS.

Fixed

• A song no longer restarts itself while it plays. Some machines announce an audio device change every few seconds, and each one sent the song back to the beginning. Playback stays where it is now, and switching to another output picks up where you were.

A round of Medley Studio work: new controls on the ruler and the Song tab, and fixes to undo, playback and the view.

Added

• Meter changes live on the ruler. Click the count above any song to change it, have it detected from the recording, or put the song back on the medley's count. Right-click the ruler to change the count from any beat.
• The Song tab plays the whole song. Playback started there plays the selected song past both ends of your excerpt, so you can find the part you want before it is in the medley. "Always play the medley" turns it off.
• A minutes and seconds ruler under the bar numbers, in the Panels menu. Off by default.
• Scrollbars on the Song tab, the same zooming bar as the main timeline.
• The click has a level, in the medley panel with the count-in.
• "Set automatically" beside each song's Trim. On, the level is matched from the part of the song you actually use, and moving your selection measures it again. Off, the trim is yours and nothing overwrites it.
• "Combine repeated tracks into one", for players that cannot handle a dozen tracks at once: Bass (2) and Bass (3) arrive as one Bass. Off by default.

Fixed

• Undo and redo work in Medley Studio. Ctrl+Z did nothing at all. Crossfade drags and resetting a track to its preset can be taken back now too.
• Space plays and stops, as it does in the Workbench.
• Dragging a clip's end no longer jumps the view back to its start.
• Follow waits instead of fighting you. Scroll while it plays and it parks in amber until you press Play again.
• A long crossfade over a tempo change stays in time. The audio either side of a join counts with the click instead of drifting against it.
• Song changes announce themselves on first open. With the spoken cues switched on, the voice arrives with the medley rather than after a refresh.
• Match levels responds when you toggle it. It used to change nothing until the next render. A song added after that render gets a level too.
• Send to Workbench can be left running. There is a Run in background button, and your medley is saved before the render starts.
• Shift trims by beats, on the main timeline and on the Song tab's Start and End buttons.
• Open and Save start in your medley folder, and recent medleys are on the opening screen.

Fixed

• An update no longer installs itself over the copy you are still using. On Mac the installer could replace TraxxTool underneath a session that was still open, which then crashed the next time it needed to load something, sometimes hours later. It now leaves a running TraxxTool alone and installs when you quit, and your downloaded update is kept for that.

Fixed

• Your lyric edits survive Apply. Splitting a section in two, adding a [Solo] for an instrumental, or relabelling a section all quietly vanished when the text was applied. Everything you type now sticks, and applying the same text twice changes nothing.
• An instrumental section is a real section. A [Solo] with no lines under it keeps its place, gets a time, can become a region, and reaches Stage Traxx as a heading.
• Two same-named sections in a row stay two sections - in the editor, in Regions from Lyrics, and in the exported headings.

Fixed

• Silencing part of a track now actually goes silent. The silenced audio was being prepared correctly and then never handed to the part of the app that plays sound - which is why this looked fixed more than once and never was. It is now checked against the sound engine itself, not just the preparation step.
• The same repair stops a removed backing track or preview voice quietly playing on until the app restarts.

Fixed

• The update notification is safe to click again. Clicking "click to see what's new and update" and then closing the update window brought up a crash report.

Fixed

• A song with a Song Cut stays in time when you place the intro cues. The music played about a bar late while the playhead and the waveforms stayed right. Moving any cue in front of the downbeat did the same.

Added

• Fractal AM4 support. All 104 presets, the four scenes, amp channel and boost, the FX slots, tuner and tap - placed on the timeline and exported as MIDI, no MIDI learn. Enable it in Settings > Plugins, then tick the AM4 in Rig > Devices & MIDI.

Fixed

• macOS: the startup Keychain prompt is actually gone. 2.27.11 cut the prompts down to one, but that one still came up at every launch if you were signed in. TraxxTool no longer uses the macOS Keychain at all. You may see one final prompt to carry your sign-in over, and API keys may need entering again in Settings.
• Editing a cue keeps your voice. Renaming a cue marker regenerated it with the AI voice even when you had recorded that cue yourself. Edits and auto-placed cues now pick up the right recording.
• The Custom MIDI Commands window no longer squashes its fields together on macOS.

Fixed

• macOS: the Keychain prompt is gone. TraxxTool kept asking for Keychain access even with no API keys saved and nobody signed in. It now only asks about credentials it has actually stored, and if you say no it stops asking.

Fixed

• "Silence these areas" always does what it says. Picking it on a track whose areas were switched off quietly did nothing - the area stayed selected, and playing.
• The inspector edits the area it names. Switching a track's areas off used to leave one of them invisibly selected, so changes kept landing on that track no matter what you clicked next.
• Switching a track's areas back on keeps your chosen mode, instead of resetting a click to "play only these areas".

Fixed

• Selection areas work with the Regions tool active. Drawing one, resizing one and silencing part of a click all did nothing while Regions was the chosen tool - which for someone who region-marks every song was all the time.
• Auto-Sync is truly on for existing installs. 2.27.5 turned it on for new installs only; a setting saved months ago kept it off for everyone else.
• The short stem names now apply when stems are first imported. They only ran when reopening a project, so a fresh import still came in as "Drum Kit". Songs already imported get the short names next time they open; names you typed are never touched.
• A Helix (or any device) control placed from its plugin shows its name on the timeline instead of the raw MIDI numbers.
• A Pause region reaches Stage Traxx as Pause. It arrived as Skip - the stored numbers for those two modes were the wrong way round. Re-set any region that shows the wrong mode and it will export correctly now.
• A custom track type stays where you drag it in Manage Track Types, instead of snapping back to the bottom of the list.

Fixed

• "Keep its own timing" now plays what was recorded. The tempo analysis treated a held or pushed beat as a reading error and smoothed it away, so a song with real push and pull got a nearly even click. Every beat the click stem actually has now lands exactly where it was played, and "Normalise to a regular grid" (the setting formerly called "Lock it to the click") pulls those same real beats onto the grid.
• The Song tab tells the truth. The waveform no longer goes blank when you zoom out or move the selection, and the playhead sits on the audio you are hearing, in both timing modes.
• One stem, one lane. A stem you moved to another track could come back in its old lane as well, playing and drawing twice. Saved medleys carrying the double are repaired when opened.
• The crossfade tab follows the Tracks tab. Moving stems between lanes now updates the waveforms at every join.
• A timing change while playing now stops playback. The music used to carry on under the old timing while the click moved to the new one.
• Every new account gets the welcome credits. They were only arriving on Google sign-ups.

Added

• The Song tab handles like the timeline. Drag down on the ruler to zoom in, up to zoom out, sideways to scrub; Shift and the wheel pans. The nudge buttons now say which edge they move: Start and End, an arrow each way.
• Dragging a hard cut longer opens a crossfade. No need to switch the preset first. Fade drags now feel linear, can close a fade completely, and lengthening a fade no longer moves it.
• Time Shift can move every stem at once. Hold Ctrl while dragging and the whole song moves together, the click staying put. The whole-bar snap now measures the bar off the click instead of the stored tempo.

Added

• The mixer names are yours to change. Settings then Workbench then "Edit stem names" lists every short name TraxxTool gives a stem as it comes in, and you can change any of them to what you call it on your desk. Rename a track in the Workbench and that becomes the name for that kind of stem in every song from then on.
• Generic MIDI says when your gear is already supported. A Helix, Quad Cortex, X32, Qu or CQ has a plugin carrying the manufacturer's own control names, so you place "Snapshot select" instead of counting out a CC number.

Fixed

• The quiet gap after the spoken title is now a switch, off by default. With it off, the title cue lands exactly where it did before 2.27.5. Turn it on in Settings then Workbench to get the silence.
• Alt-dragging a region copy onto another region now says why it didn't land, instead of quietly vanishing.

Added

• Stem names that fit the Stage Traxx mixer. Stage Traxx shows eight characters per channel, so "Backing Vocals" now comes in as "VoxBG". Four guitars no longer all read "Electric". Names you type yourself are never changed, and you can switch the whole thing off in Settings then Workbench.
• Regions from cues, and cues from regions. Right-click the region lane. A song you have already cue-marked gets its regions in one go.
• Duplicate a region. Ctrl-D (Cmd-D on a Mac) puts a copy straight after the one you picked, or hold Alt and drag to place one anywhere.
• Name a MIDI value. "Country set" for CC 69 value 1 then shows up by name in the Add Marker menu and goes down in one click.
• A quiet gap after the spoken title. The title plays, then silence, then the count-in, so you can catch a wrong song before it starts. Set the length in Settings then Workbench.
• Regions show their playback mode on the timeline: PAUSE, LOOP, x2 or SKIP.

Fixed

• The arrow keys did nothing on a Mac. Nudging markers, Beat Nudge and jumping from marker to marker all worked on Windows and silently failed on macOS.
• Silencing part of a click that has added bars. The added bars carried on playing.
• A region can now cover the count-in. It used to stop dead at the first beat of the song.
• Right-clicking a track near the bottom of the screen cut the bottom off the channel strip.
• Auto-Sync is on by default, and when it does need something it names the setting that will unblock it. It used to point at a settings page that no longer exists.
• Credits added to your account now work for voice generation.
• Open Project asks for the song's folder, instead of a file called project_state.json that sits in every one of them.

Fixed

• An out-of-date download source plugin no longer closes TraxxTool. Loading its tracks shows a warning naming the plugin to reinstall.
• A song with a bad purchase date no longer takes the app down. The Purchased column reads blank, the same as a song whose source never sent one.

Fixed

• A medley with one song in it played silence. Dragging an edge sometimes let it through, which is why resizing a block seemed to fix it.
• The first song faded in across its whole length. Same cause.
• Start from empty opened a medley you could not see, with the timeline still behind the welcome screen.
• Moving a clip to another part of a song re-reads that part's tempo. It kept the tempo of the part it used to be, so a ballad opening played at the tempo of the rock section it came from.
• A part that changes tempo now locks to the click. It was played at one flat tempo instead, which sounds fine and is a third of a second out by the end. The Doctor says when locking a part costs a lot of stretch.
• Songs stay in time with the click after an edit, instead of drifting until you stopped and moved the playhead.
• The count-in is where you can hear it. The bar in front of the song was ruled at the song's average tempo rather than the one it counts in at, so the first count sat outside the earliest place you could start.

Fixed

• Starting a clip in the count-in now brings the count-in with it. The handle moved into those bars in 2.27.1; the bars themselves stayed out of the medley.
• A song whose click is only its four-beat intro count is now named. The medley was reading the whole song's tempo off those four beats and playing it at that tempo. The Doctor says which songs these are and to download them again.
• One misread beat no longer pulls a whole song off the grid.

Fixed

• A song set to keep its own timing had the click fighting it. The click follows the song now, landing on the beats as they were played however uneven they are.
• You can start a medley clip in the count-in. Dragging the start into the bars before the song begins used to jump forward to bar 1.
• An exported medley plays like the one you built. Its timing could come out different from what you heard in the preview.

Track colours you set once, and a Medley Studio that counts each song its own way.

Track types and colours

• The built-in track types can be recoloured and reordered. Drag them into the order you keep your stems in, and click one to give it a colour.
• A track's colour follows its instrument, not its place in the list. The same guitar used to come out a different colour in every song.
• New songs arrive in your order: click first, then drums through to backing vocals.
• A colour for one track, from the dot beside its name, when two keys parts need telling apart in a single song. Leave it empty and it follows its type.
• The default colours are bolder, and related types no longer share a hue.

Stage Traxx

• Colours arrive on the iPad exactly as you set them on Stage Traxx 4.1: tracks, regions and the app tint. On 4.0 they land on the nearest swatch it has, imported region colours included.
• 4.0 or 4.1 is a setting (Settings > Export) rather than a guess.
• Colours you import from the iPad now match what it shows. Several were noticeably off, pink worst.
• The app tint came out one colour along.

Medley Studio

• A count-in stem plays instead of being dropped along with the click.
• Each song can keep its own time signature. Put a waltz next to a 6/8 shuffle and each one counts its own way.
• The tempo comes from the part you are using. A song filed at 128 whose breakdown runs at 92 used to play 39% fast.
• A song can keep its own timing, for a performance that was never on a grid like the opening of Bohemian Rhapsody.
• A piano note on the downbeat, so whoever comes in next knows what to pitch. Offered in the song's key, as one note or a chord.

Fixed

• Installing an update threw command prompt windows at you and only finished once you closed them.
• Tempo normalising offers a way through instead of refusing. A song with no tempo set is offered the one its click reads.
• A toast that says "click here" can be clicked.
• A support report reaches a person, in full, with a reply that comes back to you.

Fixed

• Adding downloaded songs to your library crashed. "Make a Medley from these" did too. Both work now.

Songs from the download plugin

• A song with both a count-in and a click now downloads both. Affected songs arrived with no click track at all. Update the downloader to 1.4.1, then download one again to pick up the missing file.
• The Downloader says Incomplete when a song is short a track. It could call a song finished while one of its tracks had never arrived.
• A whole selection goes into the library in one go, and on to Medley Studio.
• A second Download pressed while the first was running made both go wrong: the smaller job went green early and the larger one never finished.
• The search box says Search.

Fixed

• A login typed into a plugin's settings page saved nothing when the plugin was installed with Settings already open. Closing the window from a half-typed field dropped that field too.
• The Workbench showed a Rig section for a rig nobody had. It hid itself only when a device plugin owned it.
• The first song's count-in arrived silent, and regenerating one marker at a time was the only way out.
• Signing in left the credits balance reading "-" until you pressed Refresh.

Fixed

• An export stops and names any song you have not prepared yet. It used to write a Stage Traxx file with nothing in it, which imported without a word and added no songs.

The areas you mark on a track, rebuilt.

Marked areas

• Turning the tool off no longer deletes your areas. They are parked, and pressing the button again brings them back with their routing.
• "Play only these areas" was drawn as its own opposite. The greying sat over the part that was going to be heard.
• An area you send to another track stays sent. Dragging its edge afterwards quietly threw away the destination and the level.
• X silences the areas on a track, O makes them all that plays. Both keys are in the Keyboard Shortcuts editor like everything else.
• The K button is gone. It exempted a track from muting in DAW exports and did nothing anywhere else. A muted track now exports muted.
• The header button reads A, X or O, so it tells you which of the two states the track is in instead of naming the tool.
• The inspector has two options, "Silence these areas" and "Play only these areas", with a line under them saying what happens outside your areas. "Leave the track alone" is now a per-area "Keep playing here as well".
• The list of places to send an area is just track names, plus Nowhere else, Cue track and A track of its own. That last one could previously only exist in a song carried over from an older version.
• The lifted lane is called Marked areas. Export a song that had one under the old name and both the file and the device track take the new one.
• A second click track made from a duplicate now says it landed on the same bus and sound as the first.

Songs from the download plugin

• A key you set on the site comes back with the song. The audio still comes down in the original key, and TraxxTool opens it at the pitch you were working at. Update the downloader to 1.4.0 for it.
• KEY, next to SPEED and PITCH. It follows the pitch as you move it. A key worked out from the song's chords rather than read off the page is marked with a "?".

Fixed

• Undoing a cut preview silenced every track set to play only its areas, in exactly the bars it was drawn to play.

Your light show, built from the markers you already have.

Lights and video

• A rig of real fixtures. TraxxTool ships the QLC+ fixture library, so most lights you own are already in the list by make and model.
• Fixtures with more than one lamp behave like it. A bar of four heads chases across its own lamps instead of flashing as one block.
• Moving heads. Point every selected mover at a spot on the stage and the look holds them there; movement effects swing around that aim.
• A cue can do two things at once. Pick a colour animation and a movement animation on the same cue.
• A brightness trim per light, for the one fixture in the rig that is twice as bright as the rest.
• Video cues are their own thing now, with their own dialog, their own editing and their own place on the Screen strip.
• Every layer is conformed to your screen's real shape, so a 16:9 clip on a wide LED wall stops being stretched.
• Play in ShowVizz. Tick the box and the stage player opens beside the workbench and follows your transport: play, stop, drag the playhead and it goes there. Same machine only.
• A fixture editor, for the light nobody has written a profile for.
• Fixture sets, so the four pars either side of the drum riser are one thing you can aim at.
• Update ShowVizz too. Lighting Studio offers 1.1.0, and the movement, the colour wheels and the live preview all need it.

Medley Studio

• The Tracks board. Say which stem of each song plays through which track, and see it at a glance. A crossfade only happens between two stems in the same track, so this is the thing that decides how the medley sounds.
• Loop a crossfade while you shape it. It lands in the same place every pass.
• Ctrl means every track. A plain drag on a seam is the lane you are pointing at.
• A song you prepared today shows up on the shelf today. It used to need a restart.

On the timeline

• MIDI can belong to a region. Right-click a region, hang the commands on its start or its end, and they move with it when you move it. Harmony on for the chorus and off afterwards, in one place instead of two markers you have to keep chasing.
• A region can talk to more than one device at once. A marker fires one; a region can fire the vocal box, the pedalboard and the desk together.
• Commands can fire when the song loads. The patch your keyboard needs before the band plays has to have happened already, and a marker near the start is not the same thing: trim the lead-in and playback never reaches it. There is a "When playback starts" and a "When playback stops" too.
• New section markers land on the bar line. A lyric line is timed to the first word somebody sings, but the section started on the bar before it. Any marker you have already placed or moved is left alone.
• Silence a downloaded count-in without touching the file. Right-click the click track and those bars go quiet. Nothing moves, nothing is trimmed, and the same menu puts it back.

Two more devices, and a name that was wrong

• Fender Tone Master Pro. All 504 presets by bank and number, the eight effects footswitches, looper, tuner, tap tempo, master volume and the expression pedals.
• Roland FANTOM-06, 07 and 08. All 512 scenes, typed the way Roland's own sound list prints them, plus per-zone tone changes, the pedals and the tone-edit controls.
• Allen & Heath CQ. Channel, DCA, mute-group and output mutes, send levels, pan and scene recalls.
• The VoiceLive integration now says VoiceLive 3 and 3 Extreme (VL3X). Same plugin, same commands. A VL3X owner had no way to know it was for them.

Splitting a song

• Both options tell you how long they will take. "On this computer" and "TraxxTool Cloud" now show a time range measured from real splits on real machines, yours included once you have done a few. With nothing to go on it shows no number rather than a guess.

Fixed

• TraxxTool reads a song's tempo right far more often. On the songs in our test library it went from about four in five right to nearly nine in ten.
• A third of the fixture library could not light up, or could not take a colour. Lights with a shutter came out dark, and lights that colour by wheel came out white.
• Movers move in fine steps. They were stepping in whole degrees.
• A moving head no longer moves slower the dimmer it gets.
• A colour chase runs the way you set it. It ran backwards, and on the spread presets it did nothing at all.
• Warmth does something now. It only ever worked when white was already up.
• The video preview plays the real file. It was stuttering on files that play perfectly everywhere else.
• Downloads come down in the song's original key. A key you had set on the source's own page was baked into every download after it, without saying so. Untick "Always download in the original key" in the source's settings to keep taking its transposed audio.
• A "[Chorus]" line in your lyrics stays visible on the iPad. It was rendering as an empty gap.
• A 4.1 MIDI macro survives a backup. TraxxTool now warns by name when an export mentions a "$CODE" it cannot account for.
• A topping cut leaves your pedal markers alone. A delay switched on inside the removed intro used to come back on at bar one.
• A library folder TraxxTool cannot write to no longer kills the app.
• Opening a song whose folder has gone no longer kills the app.
• The Rig catalog's "Installed" box no longer kills the app.

Fixed

• TraxxTool could keep running after you closed it. If it was looking for a HeadRush at the time, the window went away but the app stayed up in the background.
• A HeadRush that was switched on could still show as offline. It stayed that way, Connect included, until TraxxTool was restarted.

Fixed

• Splitting a song into stems on your own computer failed on Intel Macs. It stopped with "Numpy is not available" before writing anything. Library cleanup, which uses the same engine, failed the same way.

Fixed

• Harmony Studio could crash when you stopped a recording. Cancelling a take during the count-in left the microphone open, and the next Record press opened a second one on the same device.

Fixed

• Auto-Sync overcharged for timing your own lyrics. A chart you pasted needs no lookup, but it was priced as one, and could be refused when you had enough credits for the real job.
• Auto-Sync no longer warns about a missing artist name when nothing is being searched for.

New

• TraxxTool can ask where you got stuck. At the end of the tour it asks once whether it may send five one time events, such as first launch and first export. Never your audio, song titles, file names or lyrics. Change your answer any time in Settings.
• Update checks now report the version and platform, and a random identifier made on first run, so installs are counted once. The privacy page covers both.
• Spanish covers the new wording.

Rehearsal mixes are made from your song, not from the files it started as.

Fixed

• Rehearsal mixes were built from the original downloaded stems. The count-in was missing, the click sat seconds away from the drums, and endings were cut short. They now come from the same engine that renders an export.
• Sharing a harmony failed on every song. Harmony Studio recorded and tuned a take, then stopped with "No stems to render the guide over".
• The bed you sing against in Harmony Studio is now the song as TraxxTool plays it, count-in and all.
• A share interrupted by a server restart no longer leaves the song with no mixes.

New

• Start a band without leaving TraxxTool. Share to Bandroom used to stop and send you to the website to make one. It now asks for a name and what you play, then gets on with the share.
• Each part ships as the band without it, plus that part on its own. The band page plays both with one slider between them, so you set how much of yourself you hear.

Fixed

• A problem report now carries your account. If TraxxTool had been open more than a few minutes, the report went in anonymously, so you never heard back about the fix.

Fix a library full of badly named tracks.

New

• Clean up, in the Batch Editor. Pick the songs in a Stage Traxx backup and TraxxTool works out what each track is, then puts every proposal in one table with how sure it is. Only the rows you tick are applied.
• Tracks with a usable name are read instantly. The rest are identified by listening, on your own computer. No audio leaves it.
• The first analysis that needs to listen offers the stem-splitting engine, which takes it from about eight seconds a track to one. It is optional.
• Analysing the same library again is instant.

Fixed

• The Video tab no longer errors if you have a band profile. Opening it, or coming back from Manage bands, failed with "'str' object is not callable".
• The Screen preview plays again. It could not build the small preview copies it runs on, so the popout stayed empty.

See your video on the timeline.

New

• The Screen strip. A song with video gets one thin lane above the timeline showing what the screen plays, lined up with the ruler. Click to jump the playhead, double-click a block to edit it.
• The Screen preview. The screen glyph on the strip opens a popout that plays what the screen would show, following the playhead. It stays silent.
• The Video tab. This song's film and cues, and your band's splash and overlay, in one place: Settings > Lighting & Video, or the Video button.
• Light mode is now called Light & Video. Same mode, new name.

Fixed

• Harmony Studio opens songs again. Picking any song failed with "This song has no audio on disk". The backing mix wrongly skipped every track not marked Keep in exports, which is most of them; it now plays everything that isn't muted.
• Bandroom rehearsal mixes render again. The same fault silently skipped them when sharing a song.

Fixed

• macOS: fixed a crash on launch. On macOS 26 the app could quit instantly, with no error, while setting up its title bar. It starts normally now.
• Sharing to the Bandroom a second time. Once one share finished, every later share in the same session failed with an error until you restarted.

Fixed

• Local stem splitting works again on Windows. Since 2.9.7 the first split on a fresh install failed with "'NoneType' object has no attribute 'write'" while downloading the separation model. If that hit you, update and split again; nothing needs reinstalling.
• The same fault could crash the app while quitting.
• A failed update now says so. If an update doesn't take, the next launch tells you you're still on the old version and points you to the download page, instead of offering the same update forever.

Sing it once. Drag the harmony under it.

New

• The note editor. Notes… on a harmony lane shows the take's notes on a piano roll. Drag any note to any pitch, double-click to split one, click the diamond between two to join them. The vibrato survives the move.
• See the song you sing against. The whole mix draws as a waveform under Harmony Studio's transport. Click it to move the playhead and the punch-in point.

Fixed

• Play previews the tuning. Lanes used to play raw until you shared; what you hear is now exactly what Share renders.

Sing the harmonies. Your phone is the microphone.

New

• Harmony Studio. Record vocal harmony guides over any library song, no DAW. Press Record, sing against the backing, and the take lands on a lane: trim, nudge, solo, a level fader, and a count-in at the song's tempo. Takes align themselves to the song, even from a late start.
• Your phone is the microphone. Open band.traxxtool.app/mic on your phone, enter the code Harmony Studio shows, and sing into the phone while the song plays on your computer. Works from any network.
• Tuning that keeps the singer. Off, helped, or tight: a note's centre and drift move to the pitch you meant while your vibrato and phrasing pass through untouched. When the lyrics carry chords, the tuner prefers the sounding chord's tones.
• Share harmonies to the band. Each take renders over a quieter band mix and lands on the song's harmony shelf in Bandroom.
• The TT Studio tab. Medley Studio and Harmony Studio now live behind one tab, with a switcher and a beta badge. Turn the whole tab off in Settings if you don't use it. First open asks, once, whether you'll share beta usage reports; saying no changes nothing.

The band page builds itself.

New

• Rehearsal mixes render on share. Share a song and the band page gets the full mix, a mix without each claimed instrument, and one with that part up front. Songs with cues get the full mix with cues on top.
• Members claim what they play. One pick on the band page; every share renders for whoever is in the band.
• Harmony lines have their own shelf. Any member adds a named vocal line to a song; everyone sees every line, and it plays right in the browser.

Your band gets a room.

New

• Bandroom. A private space for your band at band.traxxtool.app: rehearsal mixes, setlists, and guest links that expire. Members join free with an invite link.
• Share whole songs with your band. Right-click in the Library, Share to Bandroom. Bandmates pull them into their own library with one click. Only changed files travel, and nothing overwrites a song they already have.
• Catch up in one click. File → Bandroom shows what's new and downloads it. TraxxTool mentions new shares after launch; turn that off in Settings.
• Shared charts can bring their light show. Looks land on your rig as authored, or re-draft the show for your own rig in the same style.
• Starting a band comes with Cloud. A 100 GB mirror for you, 25 GB per band. Joining a band is free.

Fixed

• Auto-Sync now times the lyrics you already have instead of replacing them. Chords, sections and markup survive; only the timing changes.
• Start-of-song MIDI fires complete and in order on the first play and from the top, never mid-song on a resume. On export it becomes load tags Stage Traxx fires when the song loads.
• The MIDI commands dialog gains Send: fire the sequence at your device and hear it switch.
• Each song in a set drafts its own light show, not one show for the set.

Double-time now understands songs in three.

New

• Triple-time click. Many 3/4 and 6/8 backing tracks come with a click that ticks once per bar, and 2x used to split those gaps in half: two clicks against three beats. Pressing 2x now listens to the song and splits in three when that is how the song moves; the button reads 3x.
• Or pick it yourself. The click's channel strip has a 3x button next to 1/2, 1x and 2x. Your choice wins, per click track.

Fixed

• A half-time click looks thinned after reopening a project, not just sounds thinned.

Build your lights and stage video in TraxxTool, and a free player runs them at the gig.

New

• Lighting & Video. Build a rig from real fixture profiles, let TraxxTool draft a show from the song's sections, and fine-tune it on the timeline. Video rides along: films, clips on cues, a splash between songs, your logo over the top. Preview it all on the stage plan at home.
• ShowVizz, the free stage player for Windows, Mac and Linux. It follows your Stage Traxx 4 iPad over MIDI and drives the lights and the video wall, with nobody behind a laptop. TraxxTool installs the matching build for you.
• Export a Stage show. Tick songs, a playlist, or nothing at all for the whole library, and TraxxTool writes one .ttshow with every song's lights and video. The iPad's song change cues the right visuals in any set order. A damaged file is refused by name.
• Straight into ShowVizz. On the same machine the export lands in ShowVizz's shows and offers to open. Anywhere else: Open a show, a drop on the Shows screen, or a double-click on Windows.
• Show quality is one question. Original keeps your files untouched; Low, Medium and High shrink films to 480, 720 or 1080 lines. Transparency survives every mode.
• Medley Studio and Lighting & Video are early access and say so the first time you open them. Help > Report a Problem reaches us directly.

Fixed

• A marker's MIDI commands are sent in the order you wrote them, including bank-select pairs that could swap on some devices.
• Names inside a Stage Traxx backup are written device-safe. Titles and track names keep their accents everywhere you read them; only the archive's internal names are folded.
• A download's lone count-in track is named as the click, at download time, without touching files you already have.
• Background workers retire cleanly on exit instead of occasionally taking the app down with them.
• The About box's licence page matches what ships, full licence texts and source offer included.

Fixed

• The merged count-in and click stem is called Click. It holds the count bars and then the click for the whole song, so that is what it is now named on the timeline, in the mixer and in your export.
• The cue track arrives on Stage Traxx called Cues, not guide_track. Songs you prepared before this update are untouched and keep working.

Stage Traxx 4.1 is in open beta, and TraxxTool is ready for it.

Ready for Stage Traxx 4.1

• Capo is a real song field now. Set it in Song Details and it lands on the song in 4.1, instead of only appearing as a line of text at the top of the lyrics.
• Count-in and beat anchor. Both are in Song Details, and both leave the device's own setting alone until you change them.
• Your 4.1 work survives a trip through TraxxTool. Cues, custom region colours, playlist sets, smart playlists and MIDI macros all come back out the way they went in, including on songs you re-prepare and send back.
• The new lyric tags read properly. Colours in any of 4.1's spellings, hex colours, fonts, and bold, italic and underline together. Lyrics Studio shows them the way the iPad will.
• MIDI macros are safe to use. A $CODE in a command no longer breaks the tag it sits in, and batch edits step over it instead of scribbling on it.

Nothing here changes what a 4.0 backup looks like.

Fixed

• Merging into an existing backup no longer produces a file Stage Traxx refuses. If the backup already held the song, importing it back failed outright with a region error. It updates the song in place now.
• Merging is much faster, and keeps everything that was in the backup. It copies your library across as it stands rather than unpacking and repacking it, so PDFs and charts sitting alongside the audio come through too. Live Edit works the same way.
• Songs with an apostrophe or an accent in the title import again. They reported no audio in the backup when the audio was plainly there.
• The chords you paste stay the chords you get. If a line already had its own chords, an intro or a chord line above it could overwrite them, so the StageTraxx tab showed something different from the Text tab.
• Playback stops where the song does. On a trimmed song the playhead carried on past the last thing you can hear.
• Devices stay ticked. Saving Settings could quietly un-tick a device, and a Nord Stage 4 would then be missing from the marker menu until you ticked it again.
• Track Types is usable on a laptop screen. The icons rendered as flat lines on a short screen, and the mute group rows drew on top of each other once you made the window bigger.
• TraxxTool remembers its window size, including when you quit with Cmd+Q.
• Save a Copy shows up in the Library straight away, without pressing Refresh.
• A stalled download can be cleared out. Right-click the row and delete the files it left behind.
• File menu items that need a song open are greyed out when there isn't one.

Fixed

• Recording a guide cue onto a drive TraxxTool can't write to. If your Project Root sat on an external or network drive, saving a cue could close the app outright. It now names the folder that refused the write and keeps your take, so you can point the Project Root somewhere else and save it again.

Songs now travel both ways: pull them out of your Stage Traxx backup, change them, and send them back.

Import from Backup (Pro)

• Your Stage Traxx songs, back in TraxxTool. Import from Backup in the Library reads any .st4b backup or .st4s share. Each picked song arrives as a full project: stems, mixer, EQ, regions and colours, synced lyrics, keywords, song details. Change what you need and export again.
• Bring your bus setup too. A checkbox copies the backup's bus names and mutes into TraxxTool's routing at the same time.
• Timed [midi] commands stay on the Stage Traxx side, and the import tells you how many, so re-exporting a song never doubles them.

Live Edit (Pro)

• Edit a song that is already in your backup. With Live Edit on, "Edit a Song from the Backup" opens one of the backup's own songs in the workbench. Prepare it and Exit Live Edit writes it back over its earlier version, leaving everything else in the backup untouched.

Lyrics and chords

• Chord lines land inline. A chord line above a lyric used to export as its own timed line, stacking on top of the words on stage. It folds into the lyric below as inline chords now; instrumental passages keep their chord lines. Same in the StageTraxx tab, and inside TraxxTool your text stays as you typed it.

Downloads

• Hide my folders. One checkbox hides songs that only come from your own watched folders, which could drown the browser; store songs you also hold locally stay visible.

Fixed

• Songs imported from local folders long ago could keep their raw filenames as track names forever, even after the name cleaner arrived. They get clean names on next open; anything you renamed yourself is untouched.

Fixed

• Quitting no longer kills the app. If you closed TraxxTool while it was still checking your account, or while a job was finishing in the background, it could die on the way out and report a crash next time you opened it. It closes quietly now, whatever is still running.

Edit your real Stage Traxx backup live, add and remove tracks freely, and a timing bug on normalised songs is gone.

Live Edit (Pro)

• Your backup, edited in place. Live Backup used to write a separate file that replaced your whole Stage Traxx library on restore. Now you pick one of your own .st4b backups when you switch the mode on, and every song you prepare is written INTO it when you press Exit Live Edit. Everything already in the backup stays exactly as it was, songs and playlists and settings alike; a song you re-prepared replaces its own earlier version. There is no separate export file any more.
• Transfer ST Settings. One press writes your bus names and mutes, global MIDI slots and theme tint into the live backup, without touching its songs.

Tracks

• Add stems to any song. Right-click any track header. New files are copied into the project, land at the start of the timeline, and get their type from the filename; line them up with Time Shift.
• Delete any track. Also on the right-click menu. The audio file stays on disk, and undo brings the track back with its lane and settings intact.
• The cue track can join mute groups. It appears as "Cues" in the Track Types manager, matching the Stage Traxx mixer.

Playlists

• Colour your playlists. Right-click a playlist in the Library for Stage Traxx's own eight swatches; the colour shows in both apps. Carrying playlists into Stage Traxx as real playlists is part of TraxxTool Pro now; organising your library with them stays free.

Fixed

• Songs stay in time when a cue crosses the song start. On a tempo-normalised song, dragging a cue past the beginning could pull the music seconds away from the waveforms. Everything moves together now.
• The mute-group buttons in the Track Types manager no longer clip.

Stage Traxx exports get colours, mute groups and trims right, and the click learns real double-time.

Stage Traxx export

• Region colours finally match. Three releases of wrong colours came down to one digit: Stage Traxx counts its swatches from 1, we counted from 0, so every region arrived one swatch off with red landing on grey. Confirmed against a reference exported from Stage Traxx itself.
• Six mute groups, set by track type. Stage Traxx has six, not four, and a track can sit in several at once. Tick a type's groups once in the Track Types manager (click on 1, vocals on 2 and 6, and so on) and every song's export carries them. A song can still override its own tracks in the Stage Traxx details screen.
• "Apply audio pitch to chords" means what it says. Exports used to switch it on whenever the pitch was shifted, even with the box unticked. Your choice now arrives as-is. New songs default to on, so chords follow the audible key unless you say otherwise.
• Tracks arrive coloured by their type. Drums, vocals, keys and the rest carry their type's colour into the Stage Traxx mixer instead of arriving uncoloured.
• Auto trim buttons. Start and End in the song details can snap to where the audio actually starts and ends, just like Stage Traxx's own Trim screen. Anything you can hear counts, so a count-in click is never cut off.
• New songs can start with your metronome. Pick the mode and type every new song begins with in Settings, under Export. Songs you already have keep their own settings.

Click

• 2x is real double-time now. Doubling used to keep the accent on the old bar, so a 4/4 song felt like 8/4. The halfway pulse now sounds as a new "1", and it lands right in 3/4 and 6/8 too.
• Count-ins where the music comes back. The click track's right-click menu can find every silent break in the song and put a short count-in on the guide click ahead of each re-entry. No markers needed.

Fixed

• Overlapping lyric lines at the song end. Lines synced past the end of the audio piled onto each other where only the top one could be clicked. They fan out now, and the sync map scrolls far enough to reach them all.
• The Mute Groups column stays in its lane. On Mac the Transpose dropdown could paint across it; the table now makes room for what it holds.
• Double-clicking a downloaded song opens it. It used to start a rename. Renaming lives in the right-click menu and on F2.

Fixed

• Open Project works again on macOS 26. The picker sometimes never appeared until you restarted the app, and when it did open, your project files sat greyed out and unclickable. Both came from the new macOS file panel, so TraxxTool now uses its own picker there.
• A window that refuses to move drags anyway. On Windows and Mac the window could stop moving until you restarted the app. Dragging the header now works even when that happens, and repairs the fault for the drags after it.
• Clicking Open Project with no library folder set now tells you that, instead of doing nothing.

Mute groups, joined stems, readable track names, count-in clicks before sections, and a long list of fixes from this week's field reports.

Tracks

• Rename any track. Right-click its header, or double-click the name.
• Downloaded stem sets get readable names. A set that arrived with every lane reading "Artist Song Title (Drums Custom Backing Track" now shows Drums, Bass, Piano. One generated click or count-in stem in the song used to put the full filenames back on every track. The clean name follows to the device's mixer too.
• Mute groups. Set a track's Stage Traxx mute groups in All details. Exporting used to reset every mask to zero, wiping what you had set up on the device.
• Join tracks by type on export. Tick a type in the Track Types manager and every track of that type exports as one stem named after it, with each track's volume, pan and EQ baked in. Sixteen provider stems become the five or six you actually mix on stage.
• Track headers have a full right-click menu now: rename, mute, solo, keep in exports, the live-part modes and the channel strip in one place, and the header buttons land exactly where they are painted.

Loudness

• Choose which tracks are measured. The Loudness dialog has a Measure box per track, saved with the song. Measurement used to follow the export's "Respect track mutes" setting, so with that off, muting tracks changed nothing about the reading.

Timeline

• The line between two touching regions drags as one seam, moving both regions together. Grabbing it used to catch the left region's edge only, which could only open a gap.
• Markers move while Regions are showing. No more toggling the tool off to nudge one.
• The trim handles come unstuck. The end handle snapped to the nearest click beat from any distance, so in the tail after the last beat it was welded there. Snap now has a sensible reach, and Alt suspends it mid-drag. The Song Cut tool got the same fix: a cut can start before the first click or after the last one.
• Count-in clicks before sections. On a click track's header menu: pick 2 or 4 clicks, and every section marker gets its count-in laid onto a guide click duplicate. Carve it further or re-run it, both are safe.
• In the live-part tool, starting a drag inside a region draws a new one. A click still deletes it.
• Region colours go by name now. The Stage Traxx number is in the tooltip.
• Prepare really clears the workspace. No more ghost regions and trim marks from the last song, and no recovery prompt afterwards offering to restore an empty project.
• "Regions from Lyrics" appears as soon as the song has section markers, not after a reload.

MIDI and devices

• No more stray PC0 above your lyrics. The rig Program Change was sent even with no rig configured, and with MIDI-as-lyric-tags on it landed at the top of every song's words. 2.9.10 closed half of this; installs that carried the rig plugin enabled from the bundled days still hit it.
• Channel clashes now tell you where to fix them. Devices whose hardware channel can move get a Channel box in Rig, Devices & MIDI, and the warning points at the exact control. Two devices whose channels are fixed by their protocol get the honest version: neither can be changed, and each will react to the other's messages.
• Devices ticked on the Rig tab appear in Add Marker straight away. It used to take a restart.
• The device catalog loads and installs in the background instead of freezing the window, and it lists the device plugins as well as bare profiles.

Exports

• An export that produced no audio now says so. A failure that hit every stem used to write a valid-looking song with nothing in it. It stops with an error now, and a partial failure names the stems it lost.
• Songs staged with missing audio files no longer ship dead tracks to the device.

Fixed

• Scrolling with a trackpad over a focused field no longer edits it. Worst in the All details dialog, where some field always has focus.
• The updater keeps your install where it was. An all-users install used to gain a second per-user copy on a silent update, and the Apps entry you knew went missing.
• The Downloader now mentions that more sources come from plugins, with a button to browse them.
• A full-codebase audit landed alongside this release: a session-file race, markers that could fire the wrong device command, an Escape press that could abort the app, exports and cloud paths that quietly carried stale data, batched library writes, and a memory spike on import are all fixed.

Fixed

• TraxxTool no longer crashes when you close or swap a project while its waveforms are still drawing. Each track's waveform is built in the background; clearing the timeline let go of one that was still working, and the app died a moment later with nothing to show for it.

Roland SPD-SX PRO

• Kit changes on the timeline, by name. TraxxTool reads all 200 kit names off the pad, so a marker says "Kit 12 Verse Pads" instead of a number.
• Pad notes come from the pad itself. Each kit carries its own note map, so you get the pads you built, not a generic list.

Valeton pedals

• GP-200, GP-200LT, GP-180, GP-150 and GP-50, one plugin each. Patches, the effect blocks, CTRL footswitches, looper, drum machine and song tempo, on the timeline and exported as MIDI.
• One plugin per model on purpose: Valeton re-uses the same CC numbers across the range for different effects.

Fixed

• Get more devices on the Rig tab shows the devices. It said the catalogue was empty while nineteen of them sat there, and a catalogue it can't reach now says so instead of showing you nothing.
• TraxxTool no longer tells you it crashed when it didn't. Windows' own file dialog logs an internal error on some machines while working perfectly. The next launch read that as a crash and asked you to send a report. Real crashes are still caught.

Fixed

• Running Auto-Sync twice could kill the app. Starting a second lyric sync while the first one was still working shut TraxxTool down on the spot, with no error and nothing in the log. It now tells you a sync is already running, and the one in progress carries on.
• A medley lane played back at its new level but exported at the old one. Change a lane's level and the export could still use audio rendered before the change. It re-renders that lane now.
• Opening a song no longer waits for a HeadRush that isn't there. Every open spent about two seconds looking for a board on the network. If nothing answers, it stops asking for a minute. Pressing Connect yourself still does a full search, so a board you have only just switched on is still found.
• The Rig tab opens straight away. It used to build a panel for every supported device before it showed you anything.
• The downloader's song list no longer stalls while it works out which songs you already have. On a catalogue of a few hundred songs that was a couple of seconds, every time the list refreshed.

The guide click is a real track now, and a song can carry as many clicks as it needs.

Guide clicks

• Duplicate any click track. Right-click it and pick Duplicate. The copy keeps the original's timing and nothing else: it gets its own sound, level, pan, EQ, density, mute and output bus.
• Or build one from the drums in one press. "Add a guide click where the drums drop out" reads your drum and percussion stems and makes a click that sounds only where they are silent. Your own click is left alone.
• Guide Click is a track rather than something that appears on export. It used to exist only in the exported song, so there was no way to hear it, mute it or set its level while you worked. Open a song that uses one and it is there on the timeline, with the same regions, exporting under the same name to the same bus. Nothing changes on your device.
• Two click tracks both set to Guide Click used to be summed into a single stem. They are separate tracks now, with separate controls.

Click sound and density, per track

Both moved into the track's channel strip, beside its fader and EQ. The sound library keeps two defaults: one for the click, one for guide clicks made from it, so they do not come out sounding the same.

Fixed

• The sound you picked for the guide click did nothing. It was saved, and shown in Settings, and read by neither playback nor export.
• Its 1/2 and 2x setting only applied on export, so it looked dead while you were working.
• Half and double time were refused on a click that plays in sections only, which is the combination worth having.
• A song with two clicks merged the intro count into the wrong one.
• Re-voicing a click no longer wipes the sections you set it to play in.

Fixed

• Quitting while an export is still running no longer kills the app. A song export carries on in the background so you can get on with the next song, and closing TraxxTool before it finished took the app down on the spot instead of closing it. It now shuts down cleanly whatever is still running.
• A MIDI command no longer appears above the words of every song. Exports were putting [midi@00:00.000: PC0@7] at the top of the lyrics, an instruction to switch presets on a guitar rig, for people who have no rig set up at all. It was only ever meant for HeadRush and Kemper users, and it now goes out only for them. A song with no MIDI of its own also stops carrying an empty MIDI track.
• Intro cues you couldn't place yet can still be placed. If the spoken title and count-in had no audio when a song was imported - you record your own cues and hadn't recorded these, or you answered "Later" when asked - the song was marked as done anyway and "Place Intro Cues" disappeared, leaving no way to add the spoken title afterwards. The button now stays until the cues really are on the timeline, and it tells you what it did rather than always claiming success.

Fixed

• Sheets written the Stage Traxx way keep their sections. A # Chorus heading now reads as a section, the way [Chorus] always has. It was being treated as a line to sing, which also took "Regions from Lyrics" off the Tools menu, because that only appears when the sheet has sections. Open an affected song and it comes back.
• Scrolling past a control no longer changes it. Two fingers down the Inspector edited whatever the pointer crossed on the way. A control takes the wheel once you click into it, and not before.

Fixed

• A crash in a background job no longer takes the whole app down. If something went wrong while TraxxTool was busy in the background - fetching community charts, scanning your library - the app vanished on the spot, with no message and nothing to send to support. The problem is now recorded properly and the report window opens as it should.

Fixed

• The click has its own row in Bus Routing now. Choose the bus it goes out on, and the spoken cues and the guide click follow it unless you have given them a bus of their own.
• Switching preset keeps your cue bus and your bus mutes. Those are your settings, not the preset's, and they were being wiped every time.
• Bus Details lists all 16 buses. You can name and mute any of them, including the ones you have not sent a track type to yet.
• Splitting a song into stems on your own computer works again. It was falling over the instant it started, saying "No module named 'timeit'".

Fixed

• A medley excerpt that is not a whole number of bars long now says so. If you trim a song anywhere other than a bar line, the excerpt is still a whole number of beats, so every tick of the click lines up and nothing used to mention it. The song after it starts mid-bar all the same, and the click carries on accenting the 1, which sounds for all the world like the click itself is in the wrong place. The Doctor now names the excerpt that did it and offers to trim it to a whole bar. Medleys built for you were never affected; this is the one you get after editing a trim by hand.

Fixed

• Finishing a lyric sync no longer looks like it failed. The panel that opens when a sync completes has been crashing since 2.6.1, in every language, about a second after the success message. Your lyrics were always saved, every time; the only broken part was the screen that told you so. It reads properly in your language now too, including the count of synced lines and the buttons that copy the transcription out.
• A damaged install stops reporting itself as a crash. TraxxTool checks for add-on updates quietly in the background a few seconds after it opens. On one damaged copy of the app that check could not start at all, and instead of passing over it the app said it had crashed, on every single launch. A background job that fails is now just an update that did not happen.

Fixed

• Opening a song no longer crashes when your library lives in iCloud Drive. On macOS a Project Root inside iCloud Drive, Documents or Desktop stays off limits until you grant the app access to it, and TraxxTool treated that refusal as a crash. It now says the folder could not be read and points at the setting that opens it, in Privacy & Security. Nothing is assumed lost either: your folders, playlists and song list are left exactly as they were rather than emptied. The Medley tab's song shelf behaves the same way.

Fixed

• A download that stopped short no longer claims it finished. When tracks went missing on the way down, from a dropped connection or a session that had to be verified again, the song still sat in the Downloader in green saying Downloaded. It now says Incomplete, and hovering the row names the tracks that never arrived. Download that song again and only the missing ones are fetched; everything already on your disk is left alone.

Fixed

• Opening a downloaded song no longer crashes. It caught songs whose saved details had a tempo and nothing else, the demo song among them.
• Region edges snap to the click. With Snap on, dragging a region's start, end or body put it a beat off the downbeat instead of on it.
• Quitting during a download is just a quit. Closing the app while tracks were still coming down could report a crash a minute later, about a download nobody was waiting on any more.

Fixed

• Keywords now arrive in Stage Traxx. Whatever you set in Song Details or in the library comes through, in a backup and in a song share.
• An & in a name stays put. A stem called "Gtr & Keys" was reading as "Gtr Keys" in menus and on buttons.

Plugins can come from more than one place now, and the click's stock sound has a proper name.

Plugin databases

Settings, Plugins lists the databases plugins are read from, rather than the one address it used to hold.

• Add your own, from a URL or a folder on your machine. A band with a shared drive can run its own catalog, and so can anyone writing a plugin, without a web server.
• Switch one off and its plugins stop appearing in search. Anything you installed from it stays installed.
• Everything is searched at once. A database that is unreachable no longer empties the list; the others are still perfectly good.

Also

• The stock click sound is called Default. Whatever you had chosen stays chosen.
• Song details capture says where a value came from using the name of the add-on that supplied it, rather than a fixed list.

Spanish, start to finish. Plus a Nord Stage 4 plugin and a long list of fixes.

The whole app in Spanish

Every screen, not just the settings and the menus: the Workbench and its tools, the Library, Medley Studio, the Rig tab, the batch editor, and the interactive tour end to end. Set it under Settings, then Appearance.

• OK, Cancel and the file browser follow the language too. Those come from Qt rather than from TraxxTool, so they stayed English however complete the translation was.
• Track types and cue names read in Spanish on the timeline, in the bus routing table and in the type manager. What gets stored is unchanged, so a chart from a Spanish user still opens for an English one.

Songs you already own

Point TraxxTool at a folder of songs from before you had it, and they are listed alongside your downloads, searchable, with a Not in my library tick box that leaves only the work still to do. Downloader, then "My Folders". Right-click any of them to bring it in.

• Nothing in the folder is copied, moved or renamed. Not even if you edit the name in the table, which refuses and says so.
• It reads real folder trees. Song/*.mp3, Artist/Song/*.mp3, Song/STEMS/*.wav and a Pro Tools Song/Audio Files/*.wav all come out named after the song. Tell it whether your folders read "Title - Artist" or the other way round and the columns land right.
• Bulk import is not in this yet. Songs still come in one at a time.

The AI voice for one cue

• Right-click a cue, "Generate This Cue with the AI Voice". Keep your own recordings for the standard set and let the AI read the song title, which is a new phrase in every song.
• "Voice for This Cue" in the same menu puts any cue on any voice you have.
• Or set it once under Settings, Guide Voice.

Nord Stage 4

Programs, section enables per scene, layer levels and pans, drawbars, arpeggiator, rotary and effects, all on the timeline and exported as MIDI. Install it from the plugin database and tick it in Rig.

Regions

• Region colours now match on the iPad. A chorus you set to blue was arriving magenta.
• TraxxTool remembers your colours. Set a chorus once and every chorus after it comes out the same, in this song and the next one.
• Clear removes regions, on their own or along with your markers.
• Region edges snap to the grid, so a chorus boundary lands on the downbeat.

Click

• Re-voice a click you already have. Right-click a click track's header to swap the tick for a woodblock, a cowbell, a rim or your own sample. The timing is untouched and the original file is left alone.
• Half-time click, for a sparse intro before the drums come in.
• Snapping knows about bars, and holding Alt puts a marker somewhere off the grid when you need it there.

Lyrics

• Colour your lyrics from inside TraxxTool. Select words in the Lyrics studio, right-click, pick one of Stage Traxx's eight colours, and see it in that colour instead of imagining it on the iPad.
• Change every colour in a library at once from the Batch Editor: yellow to blue, any colour to one colour, or strip it, across every song or only across section headers.
• # Chorus headings count now, not just [Chorus], so batch jobs scoped to section headers work on a library typed on an iPad.
• Start a sheet with the song title and artist, with a capo line if you want one. Optional, under Settings then Export. The capo is per song, in Song Details.

Batch Editor

• Insert a block of text into every song, at the top or the end. Songs that already have it are skipped, so running it twice is harmless.
• Export all lyrics to one text file for reading and searching.

Fixed

• Device plugins install and work again: Nord, Quad Cortex, X32, SQ, Qu, Digitakt, Helix, Strymon and VoiceLive.
• Your track order stays put when you reopen a song.
• The first section of your lyrics reaches Stage Traxx. It was dropped from every export.
• Library keywords and playlists reach Stage Traxx in song shares, not only the ones typed into Song Details.
• Purchase dates fill in properly in the downloads browser. Dates written in the site's own language ("4 ago 2024", "4 août 2024") were not read at all, so on a Spanish or French account four months of the year came back blank.
• Nothing is clipped in a small window: the top bar, the song title, and Prepare Song at the bottom.
• The Medley inspector comes back with the tempo ramp still in it.
• Find an installed plugin with the same search and type filter the plugin database has.

A small fix on top of 2.7.0.

Fixed

• Closing the app no longer looks like a crash. Quitting TraxxTool from a terminal with Ctrl+C, or letting the system ask it to close, could pop a "TraxxTool crashed" report even though nothing had actually gone wrong. Deliberate exits now close quietly and file nothing. Seen mainly on the Linux build.

Medley Studio, Kemper support, and the click stops being one fixed noise.

Medley Studio (new)

A whole new room. Pick songs from your library and TraxxTool works out an order, a tempo for each join, a key plan that keeps every song singable and a crossfade on every track, then hands you one project with real stems, a real click, real lyrics and real markers. It exports like any other song.

• Play it, then edit it while it plays. Tempo, key, levels, crossfade handles and lane mutes all change under your hands without stopping.
• Bars and beats, never milliseconds. Every join is anchored to a downbeat measured off the real audio.
• A key plan that respects singers. Keys move around the circle of fifths and nothing is pitched further than you allow. Chords and lyrics follow.
• A tempo plan that respects arrangements. A ballad in a run of up-tempo songs goes to half time rather than being stretched to breaking.
• The Doctor. A panel that says what will actually sound wrong, a segment stretched too hard, a key nobody can sing, a seam with no room to fade, and offers the fix as a button.
• Trim and seam editors with waveforms, for any join you want by hand.
• Edit Medley from the Workbench. The plan is saved beside the render and reopens.

This one is new and it is big, so you may hit rough edges. There is a Report a problem button in the tab. Your medley plan is saved separately from the songs it was built from, so nothing here can damage your library.

Building, playing and editing is free at any length. Sending a medley of more than three songs to the Workbench needs Pro.

Click

• Click Sounds. Eight voices to start with, the stock click, a woodblock, an electronic beep, drumsticks, a cowbell, a rim knock and two kit voices, and you can build your own from any audio clip. Settings, Workbench, Click Sounds.
• Kick and snare, or kick and hi-hat, for anyone whose click is a part rather than a metronome. Easier to lock to through an intro where the recorded drums have not come in yet.
• An editor for each sound: waveform, Level, Tone, Punch, trim handles, and a click point marking where inside the clip the beat actually is. Press Detect and it usually finds it.
• Re-voice a click you already have. Turn on "Apply my click sound to existing click tracks" and every tick in the stem is found, accents included, and re-rendered where it already is. Variable tempo is fine. Your file is never touched.
• Guide Click. A third mode on the Comp tool for click tracks: select the sections you want in your ears and they are summed into one extra exported track. The click track itself exports unchanged, so the drummer still gets the whole thing. Its bus is set in the Librarian's Routing panel.
• Fill where the drums drop out, from a right-click on GUIDE CLICK. Reads your drum stems, finds every stretch they are silent, and selects those.
• The guide click can have its own density, Normal, 2x or Half time, separately from the click track. The drummer keeps a full click while the band gets a half-time one.
• Half-time click, next to the 2x button. Every other click is silenced, keeping the downbeats. A setting, not an edit.

Regions

• Built from your lyrics. If your sheet has section headers it already holds everything a region needs. Regions from Lyrics in the Tools menu builds the set, named, coloured and in order. Every verse gets the same colour whether you called it "Verse", "Verse 2" or "Second Verse".
• A Regions editor, alongside Markers and Cut. Drag to draw, drag to move, drag the edges to resize, double-click to rename, right-click for colour and playback mode.
• Playback modes come across too: Continue, Repeat Once, Repeat, Skip and Pause. Set a chorus to Repeat and it loops until you move on.
• A glance, not a distraction. With Show All on, regions stay visible in every other tool as a thin coloured strip.

Gear

• Kemper PROFILER. Your Performances become the rig list, each song picks one, and its Program Change is sent when the song loads. Module toggles, MultiBlocks and Slot changes go on the timeline. Built for the Stage; the Head, Rack and Player speak the same MIDI.
• Read your Performances off the board, so the timeline says "MOD - Rotary Speaker" instead of "Block 6".
• A MultiBlock lands where it says it will, even if you stomped a switch yourself mid-song. Delay and reverb keep their tails.
• Nine more devices. Tick what you own in Rig, Devices & MIDI, and each gets an editor mode with every control named:
• Line 6 Helix / HX, snapshots, setlists, presets, footswitches, looper.
• Neural DSP Quad Cortex, presets, scenes A to H, footswitches.
• Strymon TimeLine, presets, bypass, A/B/TAP, knobs, looper.
• TC-Helicon VoiceLive 3, every vocal and guitar block as an on/off.
• Behringer X32 / Midas M32, faders in dB, mutes, pan, mute groups, scenes.
• Allen & Heath Qu, mute any channel, DCA, mix or mute group, plus scenes.
• Allen & Heath SQ, all sixteen Soft Keys, plus scenes.
• Nord Stage 3, programs, organ, piano and synth, drawbars, rotary.
• Elektron Digitakt, per-track level, mute, filter and sends, patterns.
• QLab shows read straight in. Open the Rig tab's QLab page, read the workspace QLab has open or a copy of the .qlab4/.qlab5 file, and your cues appear in the timeline's right-click menu under their own numbers and names. Two shows can be imported without clashing.
• Gear that listens on MIDI notes works now, live and in the exported MIDI.
• A warning when two devices would fight. A device works out what is for it by MIDI channel alone, so two boxes on one channel both act on everything. TraxxTool now says so, in the Workbench's MIDI panel and in Rig. Program Change gets special attention, because a device reacts to any Program Change on its channel whatever the number.
• Controls next to every device in Rig, listing everything it understands with a Send button, so you can prove the cable at soundcheck.
• Star the controls you actually use. They sit at the top of the Add Marker menu, the first nine on Alt-1 to Alt-9.

Cues

• Ending cues. Park the playhead on the last hit, press Place Ending Cues, and you get an End call a bar early followed by a 1-2-3-4.
• Two new cues: End and Last Time. End is the end itself, as distinct from Outro, which announces a section that can be a minute earlier.
• A two-bar count-in, under Count in the Add Marker menu.
• Count in eighths with Ctrl+Shift, "1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &".
• My cues. Every custom cue in your library, whichever song or voice it came from. They used to be offered only in the song that already used them.
• Choose which cues to generate. The coverage grid is tickable, so wanting one cue no longer means paying for every gap.
• Favourite cues, starred to the top of the Add Marker menu.
• The cue editors show the cue you already have, drawn, with a Preview button. They used to show an empty pane whether or not it existed.
• Refresh Cue Audio, on any cue marker's right-click menu, so re-recording a cue updates the markers you already placed.
• Move where a cue lands on the beat. The alignment point is an amber line you can drag. One drag fixes every song using that cue.
• An AI Cue Editor. Change the words behind a generated cue, because "Chorus!" is shouted where "Chorus." is called.

Library

• Tempo and key for your whole library, looked up rather than guessed. TraxxTool asks whoever knows: the site that built the song states both, chord sites state the key, and only when nobody knows does it analyse the audio. Every value records where it came from. Free up to 20 songs at a time; Pro sweeps the lot.
• Import a folder of audio as a voice. Filenames are matched to cues in stages, anything it cannot place confidently is imported as a custom cue rather than dropped, and you see the whole thing before it commits.
• Batch-edit a Stage Traxx backup. Batch Edit next to the Merge controls opens any .st4b and changes the songs already inside it. It opens instantly even on a huge library.
• MIDI commands written into your lyrics, changed everywhere at once. Every command across the backup, with how many songs use each. Move a channel, renumber a program, nudge a value, or add a load-time tag to every song.
• Song settings in bulk, with a Ripple mode that walks a value down the selection, for giving 40 songs their own program number.
• Find and replace that knows what it is looking at, so a three-letter search cannot quietly rewrite your MIDI commands. Chords can be transposed.
• Nothing happens without a preview, and a restore point is taken before every batch.
• Your own track types, properly managed. A Track Types window to rename, delete, and give each type an icon and colour, so custom types read at a glance instead of all sharing one purple tag.
• Deleting a type checks your library first and asks what those tracks should become, then rewrites those songs with a backup kept. They used to land silently on the fallback bus at the next export.
• Renaming carries your library with it, bus assignment included.
• Presets no longer move your own types onto a shared bus.

Changed

• Moving a cue marker is instant. A busy song's cue rebuild went from over a second to under five milliseconds, and most edits no longer trigger one. Cues used to go silent for the whole rebuild, which is exactly when you wanted to hear them.
• TraxxTool ships with no gear in it. A band with no HeadRush should not be carrying one around. Every device is a plugin now, downloaded from Settings, Plugins, so you install what you own. Generic MIDI is always there.
• Nothing is taken away on update. If you were using the HeadRush or X Air support it is kept and works as before.
• The plugin database can be searched and filtered.
• Every device has its own page in the Rig tab. Past seven, the rest collapse into a More menu instead of squeezing the panel off the screen.
• The Workbench's HeadRush section is now Rig, since it belongs to whichever rig your song uses. Only the label moved.

The half-done parts of 2.6.0, finished.

• Spanish reaches the whole app, not just the main screens: the Library, the Downloader, the recorder, Song Details, the rig editors and every settings page. Around 1,500 more pieces of text. Anything not yet translated shows in English rather than blank.
• Cue markers are called cue markers everywhere, including the screens 2.6.0 missed and the Settings toggle for anyone who preferred "guide".
• The Voices table. Voices and Cues opens on a real list of your voices, how many cues each holds and when you last used it, above the coverage grid.
• Fill several voices at once. Select any number and one run generates every missing cue across all of them, with the cost stated first. Your own recorded voice is skipped with a note rather than blocking the run.

Fixed

• The custom loudness target works in a non-English interface.
• The Cloud Backup button no longer sticks on "Cancel backup".

Shaped almost entirely by what people asked for. Guide markers are now cue markers, voices become first class, and the app starts speaking Spanish.

New

• Voices and Cues manager. Every voice keeps its own cue library, shared across all your songs, so a cue recorded or generated once is reused everywhere. Settings, Guide Voice, Manage Voices and Cues shows which voice has which cues and fills the gaps in one batch, cost stated first. Switching voices no longer quietly plays audio made by the previous one.
• Import your own cue audio. WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC or OGG straight into the same trim and save flow as a recorded take, for anyone who already has professionally recorded packs.
• The whole count, one click. Hold Shift on a number in the Count menu and the full count lands on consecutive click beats, each number on a real beat.
• Spanish is arriving. Settings, Interface. The main screens come across first. Spoken cues can be generated in Spanish too, set independently of the interface, and each language keeps its own cue audio per voice.
• Custom track types like FX or Pads, next to the built-in ones, in the role menu, routing, AI categorisation and exports.
• Auto key detection. The Key field can fill itself from the song's chords. Your manual entry is never overwritten.
• Tidy with AI. Paste rough lyrics into the Lyrics Studio Text tab and let AI clean the layout and section order, in the song's own language. Nothing is applied until you hit Apply Text.
• Live Backup (Pro). Every song you finish is added to a working backup as you go, with Finalise Backup writing the .st4b when you are ready. Made for big migrations.
• A separate bus for spoken cues, for consoles that keep them apart from the click. Off by default.
• Colour tint. Pick the app's accent in Settings, Interface, and it rides into your backups so Stage Traxx picks a matching one.
• Downloads browser upgrades: an Added column, Status sorting that puts fresh downloads first, Ctrl+C to copy a selection as a list, and a right-click menu that understands multi-selection.
• Custom ElevenLabs voice IDs are verified as you type, showing the voice's real name, so a typo cannot cost you a broken cue later.
• Cifra Club chord sheets, a new optional chords plugin covering Spanish, Portuguese and English songs.

• Lyric sync no longer drifts at the end of songs. The final section almost always needed correcting by hand.
• Chords always match what you hear. A pitch-shifted song applies the shift to its chords on export, including when the shift is baked into the audio.
• The top menus no longer crush into an unclickable sliver at low resolutions or high display scaling. They fold into a menu button instead.
• The recorder tells you the truth on every platform. No microphone, an input that will not open, or an OS privacy setting feeding silence all show clear guidance, plus a "Hearing you" check before you record.
• A crash closing the lyric sync results window after using a copy button.

A Mac round, all from real reports.

Fixed

• macOS: recording your own cues works. The app never asked for microphone permission, so macOS handed it silence and your take came out empty with no error. It asks properly now, and a dead-silent take says where to fix it.
• macOS: mics and interfaces clocked at 48 kHz (AirPods, many USB interfaces) refused to record at all. TraxxTool records at the device's own rate and converts for you.
• macOS: switching your output device no longer needs a restart. Connect AirPods and playback follows.
• Honest cue generation. If spoken cues fail to generate, it says which ones and why instead of announcing success while your markers sit silent.
• Sections survive a lyric re-sync instead of being orphaned and stacked with a duplicate set.

Fixed

• macOS: window dragging works where 2.5.2 did not manage it. Some Macs, notably on the newest updates, accepted the request to move the window and then ignored it. TraxxTool moves the window itself when the system will not. If one still will not budge, Help, Report a Problem now captures what happened to your drag.

Fixed

• macOS: the window can be moved again. On some Macs it just sat where it opened. Dragging any empty part of the top bar moves it, and double-clicking zooms, like a normal Mac title bar.
• Honest lyric timing. When line times are estimates, from typed or pasted lyrics that have not been synced, the Lyrics Studio says so and points at Auto-Sync, which listens to your lead vocal, or Tap Sync.

Song sections, linked to your timeline

The sections in your lyrics and the section markers on your timeline are two views of the same thing now, kept in step.

• A cue marker can double as a section. Right-click it, Mark as Section, or pick from Song Sections in the Add Marker menu. It still calls out its cue exactly as before.
• Type a header like [Chorus] in the lyrics editor and it lights up. One press of Add Section Markers puts a marker on the timeline for every section, and only ever adds what is missing.
• It works both ways. Add a section on the timeline and the [Chorus] header appears in your lyrics; rename or delete one side and the other follows.
• Auto-Sync no longer drops section markers on the timeline behind your back. They arrive in the lyrics editor and you place them when you want.

Import desk recordings

Record your show on the desk and drop the one big file on TraxxTool. A 32-channel WING-LIVE file, an X32/M32 card recording, any multichannel WAV. The Channel Mapper turns it into a ready-to-mix song in one screen, instead of a DAW session just to bounce channels out.

• Every channel gets a row: include it or not, pair it with its neighbour as one stereo stem, name it. Names drive the same role detection as any other import, so "Kick" lands on the drum bus.
• TraxxTool suggests the mapping first. Silent channels come unticked, channels that move together arrive paired, and a sparse spiky one is flagged as the click, each with its confidence on the row. Nothing is decided silently.
• Gigabyte show files are streamed, never loaded whole, and the split keeps your recording's bit depth.
• Layout templates. Save the mapping once ("My WING rig") and the next import is two clicks. Mono, stereo pairs and a Jamzone-style band set are included.
• Free for everyone, like every import feature.

Also

• Behringer WING add-on. One click fetches every scribble-strip name and colour over the network, read-only, so your imported channels are labelled exactly as they were at front of house. Includes find-my-WING discovery. The X Air integration gained the same for XR12/16/18.
• Desk plugins API, so a plugin can teach the Channel Mapper to fetch channel names from any console.

Loudness normalization and chords.

Loudness normalization

Backing tracks from different places land at wildly different volumes. Tick Normalize on the export bar and every export is levelled, -16 LUFS by default, measured the way Logic and the streaming platforms measure it.

• It measures the mix your audience hears: your faders, pans, EQ and mutes, minus the click bus and anything routed to a bus you mute on the device. One gain is applied via the Stage Traxx song volume, so your stems and mix balance are never touched. Un-muting the drums live still sounds like your saved mix, just levelled.
• True-peak protected, never past -1 dBTP. Transparent gain, no limiter, so a song without the headroom lands as close as it honestly can and says so.
• Loudness shows this song's measurement, the exact gain the next export will apply, and a per-stem list of what was measured and why anything was excluded. Give one song its own target if it is the odd one out.
• Stereo mixes get the same gain, and every export re-measures.

Chords

TraxxTool can put chords on your songs and export them to Stage Traxx, drawn above the words on stage.

• Import Chords in the lyrics room. Paste any chord sheet or a ChordPro file, and every chord lands on the matching synced lyric line, so they inherit the timing your lyrics already have.
• Sheet section headers become real song sections, and named sections export as proper headings.
• Instrumental passages come across. A bar line like "| Em7 | G |" becomes a timed line you can drag on the sync map.
• A chord strip on the timeline, charting the whole song, one colour-coded block per chord. The same chord is always the same colour, neighbours never share one, and labels step aside instead of piling up.
• Ultimate Guitar add-on, a separately installed plugin that adds a search box finding the best-rated sheet for your song. Fetches happen only when you ask.

Fixed

• Lyrics stay in time on cut or tempo-warped exports. Line times were only shifted, not remapped, so the words could drift against the audio. Lines inside a removed section are dropped rather than piling up at the seam.

• TraxxTool updates itself. When a new version is out it can tell you what changed and update in place. Settings, General, Updates: install automatically, notify me (the default), or never check. Help, Check for Updates always asks on the spot. Every download is integrity-checked, and an update only applies across a restart, never mid-song.
• The full changelog is on the website, at traxxtool.app/changelog, with a deep link per version.

Fixed

• macOS: "TraxxTool is damaged and can't be opened" is gone. Right-click, Open would not get past it either. You get the normal one-time "unidentified developer" prompt instead.

Fixed

• Stage Traxx could refuse to import an exported song, with "Unexpected Error / typeMismatch", if the song had its Key set. The Key, the Notes and the song-select MIDI trigger now export in Stage Traxx's own format. Re-export on this version and it will import. Already made a broken file? tools/repair_st4s.py fixes it without re-exporting.

• A guided Interactive Tour. Help, Interactive Tour, and TraxxTool walks you through itself with a spotlight over each part as you go: importing stems, placing cues and markers, cutting a section, and running Prepare Song for real on a bundled demo song. Step away partway and it offers to pick up where you left off.

Changed

• "Export Song" is now "Prepare Song." Same action, rendering your stems and manifest into your library ready to package. The name describes what it does before anything leaves the app.
• Faster launch. The splash appears within a moment instead of after a dead pause, and cold starts are noticeably quicker.

• macOS 26: Detect Tempo and other busy actions no longer crash the app.

Fixed

• macOS: launching no longer bounces the Dock icon for up to a minute. The app unpacked itself on every launch, and clicking the icon again during the wait started a second copy, so you got two TraxxTool icons. It ships fully unpacked now and starts in seconds; opening it again brings the running window forward.

• macOS: repeated error windows then a crash. Opening almost any window could set off a cascade of dialogs mentioning "WindowChrome" and eventually take the app down. Mac dialogs keep their standard title bars, as before.
• Out-of-date add-ons could crash the app, taking the Downloader tab down with them. Open Settings, Plugins and update. A broken plugin now shows a message instead of crashing.

New

• Installed plugins keep themselves up to date, a few seconds after launch, with a small note when one does. Only plugins you installed are touched, downloads are integrity-checked, and you can turn it off in Settings.
• Help has a User Manual entry, opening the bundled PDF or the current one on traxxtool.app.

Fixed

• The stem-splitting engine download crashed on every install, with "Failed to execute script" before anything was fetched. The same fault blocked the MIDI add-on installer. Just Retry the download on this version.
• Custom ElevenLabs voice IDs work without Advanced mode. The field used to live with the bring-your-own-key controls, so credits users had nowhere to type it.
• Changing your Project Root refreshes the Library immediately.
• MIDI markers show in the Lyrics Studio preview when "Embed MIDI as lyric tags" is on, exactly as Stage Traxx will receive them.
• The export list says Stage Traxx 4, so it cannot be mistaken for the Stage Traxx 3 option next to it.

Export to Stage Traxx 3

Still on ST3, or sharing with a bandmate who is? Pick StageTraxx 3 in the export format dropdown for the same choices as ST4: a Song Share (.stsa) to import alongside your library, or a full Backup (.st3), with Merge to add songs without disturbing what is there.

• Multitrack Backup collapses each output bus into one ST3 track, since ST3 tops out at 8, and only pulls a level down if it would clip. More than 8 buses and it tells you to simplify the routing rather than quietly dropping stems.
• Single Mix Backup embeds one stereo Band Mix per song: click and cues in one ear, backing in the other, the parts your band plays live left out.
• Cues, markers, lyrics and MIDI all come across. ST3 has no attached-MIDI support, so your device MIDI is written as timed lyric tags automatically.
• Backups and Merge are Pro, the song share is free.

• Embed MIDI as lyric tags instead of a .mid file, in Settings. Off by default for ST4, always used for ST3.

• First launch no longer hangs on the splash screen. On a new install the welcome window could open behind the splash, which then never went away, so the app looked frozen before you ever saw it. If 2.0.1 stuck for you, this is the fix.
• The macOS installer window shows its background again instead of coming up plain white with two bare icons, and the disk mounts with a TraxxTool icon.

The first public release.

• Lyrics Studio. A room of its own: type or paste lyrics, see them exactly as Stage Traxx will render them, and drag the sync map against the vocal stem until it lands.
• Stem separation, built in. Drop in an mp3 and get six stems back, free on your own machine or on a cloud GPU when the laptop is busy. You can also pull a hard-panned click out of an old backing track.
• Community charts. Share and download finished arrangements. A chart carries every parameter and is fingerprinted against the stems it was built from, so a download either matches your audio or says plainly that it does not. Never carries lyric text.
• Rig tab. Devices get their own room instead of being scattered through Settings, each with a connection banner so you know whether you are editing live or offline.
• Tempo detection and normalising. TraxxTool works out a song's BPM and uses it everywhere: the click, the count-in, the DAW export. Normalising fits a drifting click onto a steady grid, and turning it off puts the original back.
• Sign in without a Google account, with a six-digit code emailed to any address. No password to set, remember or reset.
• Google Drive downloads, alongside direct links.
• Song naming that sorts itself out. Stem filenames are mined for the title and artist, with an AI guess as backup, and nothing is renamed until you have seen the review.
• Cloud backup that actually restores. Re-uploading unchanged songs costs nothing, and a second machine can pull the whole thing back down.
• Multi-command markers. One marker can fire several MIDI commands.
• Align Click picker. The one-click button guesses which stem is the click and which is the drums. Shift-click or right-click to say what you meant when it guesses wrong.
• Combined DAW export. Reaper and Ableton in one pass, carrying your MIDI through.
• Guide voices you can hear before you pick, a curated list with previews instead of raw model ids.
• Diagnostics and support. One place to see what the app thinks of your setup and send a bundle. Telemetry is opt-in.
